Lazar Dimitrov

Lazar Dimitrov, Ph.D. joined Clarus in August 2015 with a diverse business and scientific background. His business experience spans investment banking (Merrill Lynch), venture capital (Rho Ventures), internet and biotechnology start-ups (Priceline WebHouse Club, Crystal Bioscience) and management consulting (Blue Matter Consulting).  Dr. Dimitrov obtained his Ph.D. in Genome Sciences from the University of Washington studying mitochondrial biology and aging in the lab of Dr. Dan Gottschling at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center.  He conducted his postdoctoral training in genetics, biochemistry and cell biology at U.C. Berkeley in the lab of Randy Schekman, 2013 Nobel Prize winner in Physiology and Medicine.  Dr. Dimitrov received his B.A. in Mathematics and Economics with high honors from Dartmouth College.
